I usually find James Kotecki’s Politico Playbook boring. This episode however, is worth a watch.
Question:
Sphere: Related ContentDoes knowing a politician has used illicit drugs, affect his or her credibility? Or does it just make them human?

More trouble for presidential hopeful: Inquiry by conservative US media outlets reveals that Obama advisor Merrill ‘Tony’ McPeak is a longtime anti-Israel critic who slammed American Jews for acting against US interests

WASHINGTON – General Merrill “Tony” McPeak, Senator Barack Obama’s military advisor and co-chair of his presidential campaign is a longtime anti-Israeli critic who has slammed Israel harshly during his career, according to an inquiry by conservative American media outlets.
McPeak, who served as the chief of staff o the US Air Force before retiring in 1994, made headlines over the past week after accusing former President Bill Clinton of McCarthyism. Yet as it turns out, over the years he has criticized Israel for failing to withdraw to the 1967 borders and charged American Jews were preventing American pressure that would lead to a Mideast peace agreement.
The examination of McPeak’s career, undertaken by conservative magazine American Spectator among others, revealed that the general adopted a harsh anti-Israeli line in interviews he submitted to and articles he published. According to the magazine, beyond his affinity for alcohol, which saw him detained for drunk driving a year ago, McPeak also appears to take great pleasure in slamming Israel and pro-Israel Jews.

Thanks for the post . . . and the backhanded compliment. What would make the videos more interesting?

Not really a fan of that guy, talks toooooo fast, he shifts back and forth when he talks, which is annoying (whereas you could use your hands a little less). Topics are interesting though.

@James It really depends on who you are targeting (your audience). I do believe your videos are better then the typical Political News Broadcast’s, hence the reason I posted your video on openSermo. Take a look a the comment above this one for a few ideas.
What I believe is that the majority people in our generation need a new kind of way to get solid bits of information. Your scratching this surface here with Politico Playbook and you were deeper with Emergency Cheese. With Politico you already have a niche audience / community of people which appreciate your content and videos. So I wouldn’t suggest changing much there, unless you want to piss these people off.
What I would suggest is you take all that knowledge you have and do a different kind of show that’s more down to earth, real and not so taxing on the viewer. Like a mix between Politico and Emergency, ie. don’t shoot it with your mini-cam. Maybe even do this new show just once a week. If you produced something like that, I would love posting it to openSermo on the regular.
Join the movement James and help reboot the News Broadcast

James,
I think your content and ideas are great. Maybe a little more emotion when you talk. If you are trying to be a news broadcaster (like on FOX, ABC, CBS etc) then I think you are on the right track. Just slow down when you speak. I speak really fast too and know once you get on a roll it is hard to slow down.
